KIER SECURES £140M EXTENSION TO SOUTH WEST WATER FRAMEWORK

Kier has been awarded a £140m, two-year contract extension across the South West Water network.

The company is the sole contractor appointed on the Network Services Alliance (NSA) framework. It  will continue delivering maintenance and improvements across South West Water’s region until March 2028.

Kier has been working with South West Water for the last 20 y ears, supporting  the delivery of front-line network activity. This work includes reactive and planned maintenance across the network, as well as the continued rollout of smart metering, helping customers better understand how water is used day to day.

In the last year, Kier completed more than 25,000 repair and maintenance jobs across the region, including over 18,000 leak repairs, alongside more than 32,000 metering and maintenance jobs.

Andy Lingham, managing director for water at Kier Infrastructure, said:  “The work is continuous and forms a critical part of how the network performs day to day. It is about delivering reliably at scale, responding when needed and maintaining the standards our clients and their customers expect.”

This extension builds on Kier’s continued role across the Asset Management Period 8 (AMP8), including appointments and reappointments with Anglian Water, Severn Trent, South West Water, Southern Water, Thames Water, United Utilities and Yorkshire Water.
