WALES COMMITTEE – HIGHLIGHTS FROM 30 JANUARY MEETING

The Session focused on ACE’s input into the Welsh Government’s new national climate resilience strategy.

Climate resilience strategy

A key part of the meeting was the exploration of strategies to develop resilient places that are attractive to both commercial and social interests, aligning with the Welsh Government's new national climate resilience strategy, as well as ACE’s ongoing project into this issue. Members engaged in discussions, sharing insights and providing input to shape initiatives aimed at enhancing climate resilience across Wales. 

Market Update

A roundtable discussion on industry trends and market insights specific to Wales offered an opportunity for members to share feedback on the outlook for 2024, highlighting emerging issues and concerns impacting the sector and Wales. The insights used from these discussions inform ACE’s engagement with Welsh Government officials and others. 

Client Networking Event 

Following the meeting. the first ACE Wales client networking event of the year took place, which hosted guests from local government.  

Highlighting future investment opportunities and pipeline initiatives with an exchange of invaluable insights into the challenges and opportunities facing the industry, this prestigious and unique networking event proved to be an outstanding experience for the members in attendance.  

Key dates for upcoming ACE Wales member networking evening events are 30 April in Cardiff, 25 June in Cardiff, 24 September in North Wales, and 26 November in Cardiff.
