TRANSPORT FOR THE NORTH'S STRATEGIC PLAN

ACE responds to TfN's plans for infrastructure in the region

ACE has responded to Transport for the North's (TfN's) consultation on their draft strategic transport plan which sets out the case for infrastructure investment through to 2050, incorporating new analysis and evidence from previous Rail North, Stakeholder, and Partner strategies.

Following their inauguration as England’s first Sub-National Transport Body, the plan will become a statutory document, allowing TfN and its Partners to take a leading role in developing the case for investment and making transport decisions for the North.

ACE’s response was developed with detailed input from members in our Northern and North West groups and reinforces the need for TfN to acknowledge and make the most of technological changes, recognise how transport can deliver social mobility and identify major strategic interventions which would provide benefits across the region.
