NET ZERO WEEK: GET INVOLVED NOW

National campaign offers new platform for members to showcase expertise and offering

As the UK gears up for COP26, ACE and EIC members are invited to get involved Net Zero Week, a new campaign which takes place 17 to 23 July 2021.

ACE and EIC are working alongside around 25 other business associations from across industry to showcase how each sector is taking positive steps towards a carbon free-future.

Our involvement means ACE and EIC members have a new platform to share related content to broader audiences than usual – reports, white papers, podcasts, webinars and videos. Members will also be invited to speak at cross-industry events during the week. We hope to share more details of how ACE and EIC itself will be getting involved soon.

Greg Clark MP, ambassador for Net Zero Week and former Secretary of State for Business, Energy, and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) says: “Climate change is the single greatest challenge facing mankind.  The UK is leading the world in rising to this challenge and can take pride in being a nation that is not just showing ambition but one which holds a record to match. We all have a stake in this and I applaud the efforts of individuals, organisations and initiatives like Net Zero Week in highlighting the importance of this vital work.“

ACE and EIC Director of Policy Matthew Farrow said: “I often say that as natural problem solvers, our industries are crucial to realising ambitions of a Net Zero future, but the truth is that for those working outside of our sectors, this might not always be obvious. Net Zero Week is an opportunity for us to proactively share with the world that as key stakeholders our voice needs to be part of this conversation.”

Members interested in participating are invited to email Shawn Coles, founder of Net Zero Week, or find out more on the Net Zero Week website.
