Key opportunities for members explored in exclusive briefing

The latest in the Cabinet Office's 'playbook' publications, the Consultancy Playbook provides methods and strategies for public sector bodies to achieve better outcomes and demonstrate value for money when sourcing expertise and services from the private sector. Following on from both the Sourcing and Construction Playbooks, it provides members with the tools to better engage public sector clients

As with the Construction Playbook before it, we have summarised the major points in a member-only briefing which is available now. Once logged-in members can download the two page summary via the link below.

Chair of ACE's procurement and pipeline group, Neil Humphrey welcomed the potential of the Consultancy Playbook in a blog on our site: "It has a crucial role to play in the emergence of a new and consistent approach across different departments. When the commitment to widen the pool of consultancies is added to the mix, we are left with a – on paper at least – new approach with plenty of new opportunities for our members to seize in the future."
