On Wednesday 6 June the industry came together to celebrate remarkable companies, initiatives and inspiring individuals at the Consultancy and Engineering Awards 2018. The Marriott Grosvenor Square were the glamorous surroundings for a gala celebration of the best that the industry has to offer.

Hosted by Louise Minchin of BBC Breakfast TV, the event included speeches from ACE chief executive Dr Nelson Ogunshakin OBE, ACE chair Mathew Riley and Dr Hayaatun Sillem, chief executive of the Royal Academy of Engineering and representing the judging panel, also spoke on stage.

Two honorary Ambassador Awards were bestowed to Baroness Brown of Cambridge and Mike Brown MVO, Commissioner for Transport for London.

In addition to the previously advertised categories, the Diamond Award celebrated the "best of the best" on the night and was won by inspirational apprentice Charlotte Jones of AECOM.
