ACE has responded to the Office of Rail and Road's (ORR) consultation on Network Rail's plans for the next control period, CP6.

The nearly 1,800 page consultation looked in detail at Network Rail's £47.9 billion strategic plan for the next five years. In a press release to the media to accompany the comments, ACE criticised the short time-period for responses which amounted to 14 working days.

As a result of the reduced time frame, our response provides only high-level feedback on Network Rail’s summary of CP6 strategic business plans, as well as “deep-dives” on two areas of the consultation – Network Rail’s Infrastructure Projects Division and the Anglia route.
