A raft of companies have been appointed to help deliver Yorkshire Water’s multi-billion pound AMP8 investment programme.

Yorkshire Water is spending £8.3bn over the five-year asset management regulatory period, which runs from 2025 to 2030.

Companies including Arcadis, AECOM, WSP and Mott MacDonald have secured places on the Technical Services and Assurance Framework.

The multi-supplier framework, valued at up to £80m, provides Yorkshire Water with a single commercial route to access specialist engineering, design, technical assurance and advisory services across its capital investment portfolio.

The framework is scheduled to run from 1 July 2026 to 30 June 2030, with the option to extend for up to two additional years

The framework has appointed:
Technical services (£12.7m)  - including engineering support, feasibility studies and detailed design: 
AECOM, Arcadis, Binnies UK, Egis Projects UK, Jeremy Benn Associates, Ove Arup & Partners, Pell Frischmann Consultants, Pick Everard and Sweco UK

Technical assurance (£4m) – including design reviews and technical audits
Costain and TUV Rheinland Industrial Services

Design partner (£13.3m) - AECOM, Atkinsréalis UK, Jacobs UK, Mott MacDonald, Ove Arup & Partners, WSP UK

Technical design partner (£50m) - Ove Arup & Partners

Arcadis has been appointed across all three technical services sub-lots within Lot 1 of Yorkshire Water’s Technical Services and Assurance Framework - Lot 1A Principal Designer, Lot 1B Design and Delivery and Lot 1C Technical Support.

Yorkshire Water recently gave an update on the first year of AMP. It said its capital plan is “well underway” with £990m delivered to improve asset infrastructure over the year.

It added 23% of AMP8’s five-year programme is already on site being delivered with 1,500 projects being designed or built and 88 already completed.
