WSP APPOINTED TO ENVIRONMENT AGENCY’S NATIONAL GROUNDWATER MODELLING FRAMEWORK

WSP has been appointed to all three lots on the Environment Agency’s National Groundwater Modelling Framework.

It has qualified for all three lots, regional modelling, groundwater flooding and expert review.

The framework brings together leading consultants across England and gives the Environment Agency (EA) improved access to suppliers for specialist groundwater modelling work, and better visibility for suppliers of the EA’s pipeline of future planned work. It will support the development of groundwater models, alongside wider studies to strengthen flood understanding and forecasting.

Frank Hulcoop, delivery director at WSP, said: “Qualifying for all three lots on the Environment Agency’s National Groundwater Modelling Framework reflects the breadth of our hydrogeology and groundwater modelling expertise. We look forward to working collaboratively with the Environment Agency to strengthen groundwater models, improve flood understanding and help deliver better outcomes for communities.”
