Transport for London (TfL) has appointed Costain, Amey Rail, and Dragados to a new £700M infrastructure improvement framework.
The multi-discipline framework, covering both design and construction, will allow for major infrastructure upgrades across the capital. This includes upgrade work at South Kensington tube station and works to enable TfL’s step-free access programme.
Projects will be awarded over a two-year term, with an option of a two-year extension.
Alex Vaughan, chief executive at Costain, said the framework award builds on the company’s long-standing relationship with TfL.
“Upgrading London’s transport network is critical for a more prosperous, resilient and decarbonised UK,” he added.
“We look forward to bringing our capabilities in engineering, design and construction to deliver high-impact projects on time and on budget, underpinning London’s growth for future generations.”
The framework award extends Costain’s long-term delivery of complex infrastructure with TfL, including work to refurbish the A40 Westway, one of London’s busiest routes.
