HR FORUM RENEWS ITS FOCUS

Group seeking new vice chair as it shares proactive plans for year ahead

Bringing together experts from across the membership base, ACE’s HR forum supports members, no matter their size, with HR matters.

The forum welcomes all who work for an ACE member in a HR related function, or who support people within their organisation. Whether employee relations, learning and development, organisational design, compensation and benefits, company culture, or EDI, the forum provides an opportunity to share best-practice and engage with colleagues from across the membership base.

For members too small to have a dedicated, full-time, HR function, the forum provides a great opportunity to keep on top of this vital and broad topic.

The HR forum meets every two months throughout 2021 and 2022 and will proactively tackle some of the most pressing HR issues which the pandemic and Brexit have brought to the fore. Where necessary, the group will link up with legal and subject-matter experts to help attendees grasp these sometimes technical and complex issues. The forum will also produce guidance, templates, reports and webinars to support ACE’s members in this area.

A new vice chair is currently being sought to support current chair Gareth Drought (Tony Gee).

Gareth said: “We’re a very friendly and welcoming forum! As well as being a great place to network, becoming more involved will give your company access to a range of expertise that would normally be out of reach for most companies. We’re always looking for more to get involved and support our work or engage with our new, more proactive programme”

“We’re also on the look-out for a vice chair to support the forum and myself and ensure that we can all keep a busy programme on track.”

Upcoming dates can be found on our website, but the HR Forum’s next meetings take place on Thursday 19 August at 12pm, Tuesday 19 October at 12pm and Thursday 9 December at 12pm.

Those interested in finding out more about the vice chair position are encouraged to contact Claire Clifford. Meanwhile, those interested in attending future HR forum meetings are encouraged to register their interest by emailing Chetna Gorasia today.
