HEATHROW, NET ZERO AND THE INFRASTRUCTURE STRATEGY

New webinar explores the impact of the court of appeal ruling on your project

The reverberations from the court of appeal’s decision to pause Heathrow expansion are being felt across our sector and wider industry. Following the legal precedent set by this decision, we have seen new cases being brought before the courts, notably to stop HS2, Drax and a number of road schemes, to ensure they are similarly assessed on their net zero credentials.

The decision has had an immediate political impact, with the government choosing to delay the infrastructure strategy, which was expected at this month’s Budget, as a result. To help make sense of this decision, ACE is hosting a webinar on Thursday 19 March 2020 at 12pm.

Your host is ACE chief executive Hannah Vickers. She will be joined by ACE Director of External Affairs Julian Francis and Environmental Industries Commission (EIC) Executive Director Matthew Farrow.

You’ll discover what the decision might mean for your projects past, present and future, what it means for the industry going ahead and how society’s net zero ambitions are shifting expectations of design and construction. Furthermore, the panel will discuss what this means for a national infrastructure strategy and will be on hand to answer any questions you might have.
