DEBATING FUTURE OF INFRASTRUCTURE IN LONDON

Listen now to first episode of new AECOM podcast featuring Hannah Vickers

Launch episode of new podcast, Talking Infrastructure, features Hannah Vickers discussing the future of infrastructure in London.

Hannah joined AECOM’s Colin Wood (chief executive civil infrastructure, EMEA) on the panel, along with regular presenters James Banks (head of external relations, EMEA) and Roma Agrawal, in front of a live audience. Together they explored the particular challenges with regard to London, focussing predominately on transport.

The podcast follows the release of AECOM’s Future of Infrastructure Report which interviewed 10,000 infrastructure users in 10 major global cities, including London, to ask how satisfied, safe, inspired and engaged people feel with their roads and bridges, rail services and utilities.

As quoted in their research: “For Londoners, smarter, faster, better infrastructure is a team effort. Citizens want to have more say on infrastructure issues such as planning. They’re open to greater private sector involvement in infrastructure development and also show a willingness to pay higher taxes to fund infrastructure improvements, for example, in return for better quality, more reliable and resilient systems.”

The regular podcast will focus on the hot topics, key projects and innovations that are helping to solve some of the world's most complex infrastructure challenges.
