ACE has released Infrastructure for everyone, its 2019 political manifesto which outlines the steps required by any future government to support the sector in delivering a foundation for economic growth and a better society.
Building on the work ACE has delivered over the last few years, it explores and proposes policy ideas in transport, utilities, housing, placemaking, and water, offering all political parties ready and workable policies to take forward. In addition, it provides insight into finance, value, net zero, skills and sustainability and how changes in these areas could benefit our members and the wider economy.
The manifesto provides a blueprint for any UK government – whether Westminster, one of the devolved nations, or a city-region – to work with us to create an environment which is positive for infrastructure, which improves society and which delivers economic growth.
Hannah Vickers said, “I’m delighted to see infrastructure rightly at the forefront of the political debate. Issues such as housing, transport and utilities are key to delivering both a better society and economic growth and with, the right political will, our practical, pragmatic and achievable policies are ready to go.”
Stay tuned to the ACE website for more on the Manifesto over the coming days.
