COMING OUT OF COVID
The skills challenge for construction

POST-COVID: THE SKILLS CHALLENGE FOR CONSTRUCTION

Infrastructure Intelligence has launched a new webinar series to help the construction sector grapple with the key issues as the UK enters the latest stage in the fight against the coronavirus.

The webinars, which will run every Friday at 11am throughout the summer, will focus on the role of infrastructure investment in the economic recovery, building industry resilience, changing business models and communications in the new digital landscape and continue the good work laid by ACE's Navigating COVID-19 series which helped members deal with the immediate issues highlighted in the COVID crisis.

The social and economic challenges arising from the COVID-19 pandemic will mean big challenges for all firms working in the construction and infrastructure sector. The widely predicted economic downturn could mean widespread job losses in an industry that is already facing skills shortages in a number of key sectors. More than ever before, the industry is going to need to work more closely and increase collaboration to protect the sector’s skills through this crisis and beyond. This webinar will look at the practical steps that the industry is taking to safeguard its skills base during a potential downturn and also the steps that individual firms are taking to ensure that they maintain the human resources they need to continue to deliver for clients in challenging times.
