Commenting on the announcement today of the Construction Sector Deal by Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy Greg Clark MP, ACE chief executive, Dr Nelson Ogunshakin OBE said:
"Of course reducing new build delivery times by 50% is a welcome announcement, but time will tell whether this is an aspirational target, or a realistic deliverable.
"It is encouraging to see the government embracing new technologies, like digital design and offsite manufacturing, and we are pleased that a collaborative approach has been taken with construction skills. This holistic approach will ensure we have a sustainable and future-proofed construction workforce for years to come."
