AECOM has appointed Steve Higham as managing director for transportation in Europe and India.
Higham will lead the company’s transportation business in the region, driving growth and strengthening AECOM’s position - he also joins the regional Executive Leadership Team. His position is effective immediately
A civil engineer with 28 years’ experience in transport and infrastructure engineering, Higham joins AECOM from SYSTRA, where he was managing director of its UK and Ireland engineering business and a member of the SYSTRA Executive Committee.
He has extensive experience in delivering major infrastructure projects and managing complex stakeholder relationships, adding significant value to AECOM and its clients.

AECOM has teams delivering projects across transportation, including roads, rail, ports, aviation and future mobility solutions. Current projects include the Northumberland Line, the South Rail Systems Alliance, the National Highways Specialist Professional and Technical Services 3 (SPaT3) framework, the North Bothnia Line and Mumbai Metro Line 3.
