Design and engineering firm Stantec has opened a new office in the centre of Edinburgh.
Located in the Capital Square building, the workspace will unite the company’s teams from around Edinburgh bringing them together in a central hub that accommodates Stantec’s growing presence.
Initially 168 people will be based out of the new Edinburgh office.
The new base sits in the middle of Edinburgh’s Exchange District, the commercial heart of the city and close to Haymarket Station.
Stantec has been shaping communities in Scotland for many years, working on several high-profile projects including Coire Glas, the Scottish National Transport Strategy, the Arran Distillery and the UK Medicine Manufacturing Innovation Centre (MMIC) among others.
The team will also continue to work on the m2 joint venture, that supports Scottish Water (SW) with strategic and technical consultancy services as SW delivers its capital programme and plan for future investment
Stantec’s Scotland operations director, Simon Crewe, said: “Stantec designs with community in mind and our new Edinburgh office places us right at the dynamic heart of the city allowing us to strengthen ties with all surrounding communities.
“We’ve had a strong presence in the region for a long time, but this move allows us to bring our teams together into a unified presence, so they’re better placed to support our clients.
"In addition, it will enable us to tap into the local business and technical community, attracting new talent to our growing team.”
