NEW BREXIT AND COVID-19 WEBINARS FROM ACE

ACE has shared details of two new practical webinars it is hosting over the coming weeks. Returning for a one-off episode, an hour-long "Navigating Covid-19" webinar this Wednesday at 12 noon (18 November) will provide attendees with a handy reminder of the support available to them.

As well as grants and loans, the event will also explore the current picture with regard to furlough and the self-employment scheme. It will be crucial listening for anyone running a small business or working in an HR department. Joining the host, ACE chief executive Hannah Vickers, will be ACE’s HR expert Claire Clifford who has recently joined the organisation. Sign-up for your free place at ACE’s website here.

On Monday 7 December at 12pm, ACE is hosting Brexit: The Final Countdown. With the deadline of 31 December fast approaching, the exclusive ACE Insight webinar explores what it means for your business.

Joining Hannah Vickers and Claire Clifford, will be James Butcher, head of policy at the National Federation of Builders who also leads the Construction Leadership Council’s Brexit working group. Together they will explore issues relating to movement of people, services, finance and operations, and how the UK’s new relationship with Europe will change how the industry works and the webinar complements the publication of new guidance on Brexit produced by the working group. Commenting on ACE’s recently announced practical webinars, Darrell Matthews, head of membership and business engagement, said: “While it has, in many respects, been usurped by Covid-19, the changes Brexit brings are fundamental to how many businesses operate and the ongoing uncertainty means it’s difficult to keep on top of everything. Our webinar is designed to provide practical support, advice and guidance to help your business deal with uncertainties ahead. With the end of the year deadline fast approaching, I’d encourage you to sign-up to make sure your company is ahead of the issues.

“Secondly, with the return of lockdown in England, we felt that it was a good time to bring back our popular webinar series “Navigating Covid-19” for a special one-off episode to explore the issues around furlough, employment schemes and business support. We hope that this will act as a timely reminder for the help that is available to you.”
