In the Mayor of London’s draft housing strategy, Sadiq Khan claimed that the capital’s "housing crisis is the biggest barrier to prosperity, growth and fairness facing Londoners today."

Outlining the scale of the housing problem, the Mayor called on interested parties to share their views on the strategy and ideas on how to tackle the crisis.

After significant input from, and discussion with, our London and South East Region Group, ACE has submitted this response which includes a range of "disruptive" recommendations around the planning framework, aiming to refocus the system on a short-term basis towards building truly affordable housing, and ensuring that the adoption of modern construction techniques is widened.
