Last week, Rishi Sunak undertook a ‘mini’ cabinet reshuffle, appointing Claire Coutinho as the UK's new Secretary of State for Energy Security and Net Zero (DESNZ), replacing Grant Shapps. The MP for East Surrey takes the reigns as the department looks to work with industry to seize the opportunities of net zero.
The cabinet reshuffle follows Shapps' departure from the head of DESNZ to take up the role of Defence Secretary, following the resignation of Ben Wallace.
