APPG ON BUILDING COMMUNITIES ELECTS NEW OFFICERS

Three new vice chairs and secretary join growing cross-party group

Following the recent AGM of the All Party Parliamentary Group for Building Communities on 29 January 2020, the group has elected its new officers for the upcoming parliamentary session. The new officers are Bob Blackman MP (Chair), Liz Twist MP (Vice Chair), Stephen Timms MP (Vice Chair), Andrew Lewer MP (Vice Chair), Alison Thewliss MP (Vice Chair) and Julie Marson MP (Secretary).

Plans for the APPG’s forthcoming work programme were shared, including details of an upcoming report on placemaking and productivity. The report is building an evidence base for policymakers when addressing issues around the natural and built environment and placemaking.
