LIVING WITH WATER PROGRAMME
ACE INSIGHT WEBINAR
LIVING WITH WATER PROGRAMME
Part of ACE's new Insight webinar series, this free-to-attend event is hosted by ACE Northern Ireland.
Guest speaker Paddy Brow of Northern Ireland Water will share an overview of Living With Water Programme (LWWP) which was recently the subject of a public consultation which can be accessed here.
Paddy will share how around £1.4 billion will be invested over the next 12 years in drainage and waste water management in the greater Belfast area to reduce the risk of flooding, increase sewerage capacity and comply with environmental legislation.
This will mean the removal of unsatisfactory intermittent overflows (UIDs), maintaining the compliance of Waste Water Treatment Works (WWTW) when measured against the existing Urban Wastewater Treatment Directive (UWWTD) standards, and facilitating that WWTW achieve new discharge standards based on environmental needs when assessed against the aims of the Water Framework Directive (WFD).
This webinar will take place on Thursday 13 May from 12.00pm to 1.00pm and is free to attend for any ACE member, no matter their location.
