ACE welcomes the return of its annual parliamentary reception where MPs are invited to attend and connect with leading industry figures. This event brings together MPs and industry leaders to discuss how consultancy and engineering can inform and influence policy and legislative reform. We are delighted that Labour rising star Mike Reader MP, Chair of the APPG on Infrastructure and Labour Party Champion for Construction, has agreed to sponsor and speak at our reception for the second year in a row. 

ACE will be using this event to celebrate our achievements in the past year, which include:

• Meeting with the Chief Secretary to the Treasury, The Rt Hon Darren Jones MP, to discuss the priorities for the newly formed National Infrastructure and Service Transformation Authority.

• Publishing our new industry analysis showing our members contribute £39.5 billion to the UK economy and employ 470,000 people.

• Launching our brand-new online magazine, Infrastructure Intelligence, featuring interviews with the Chief Executives of National Highways and Great British Energy.

With the Government’s Industrial, Infrastructure and Trade Strategies now published, we’ll be reflecting on the Government’s achievements after more than a year in office and what more our industry can do to work with Ministers to deliver the critical national infrastructure our country desperately needs.
