CYMRU | WALES COMMITTEE MEETING

The Wales group’s committee meetings bring together members from across the country.

This group is chaired by Kate Attwood, Senior Delivery Lead, Defence and Security at WSP.

The session will be opened by Ken Skates, Cabinet Secretary for the Economy, Transport, and North Wales. This September event will delve into the future of Transport and Nuclear Futures in North Wales, providing a platform for insightful discussions and industry collaboration.

Our speakers:
Alwen Williams, Portfolio Director at Ambition North Wales
Elliw Williams, Head of Stakeholder Engagement and Communication at Cwmni Egino
Alisdair Aldridge, Project Manager at Wrexham Gateway
Professor Anne Nortcliffe, Dean of faculty or Arts, Computing and Engineering at Wrexham University

Each will share their expertise on the key challenges and opportunities shaping transport and nuclear developments in the region. The session will conclude with closing remarks from Gary Davies, Chair of the session, along with Mark Valentine Director for Strategic Growth at WSP and Kate Jennings, CEO at ACE.

Following the formal proceedings, guests are invited to join us for a drinks reception and a networking event to continue discussions and foster connections within the industry.

Through ACE Cymru Wales we champion Welsh infrastructure. The local group works closely with Government Ministers, the Welsh Government and the National Infrastructure Commission for Wales, applying pressure for greater investment, but also acts as a trusted adviser to key clients and representatives in Cardiff. Our group’s members have worked hard to nurture these relationships in recent years, providing a platform to share our collective expertise and knowledge with local politicians and civil servants. As the Welsh Assembly gains more powers, we will continue to help it make informed decisions on local infrastructure.
