Join us for the ACE Northern Ireland Group meeting.

Through ACE Northern Ireland we champion local infrastructure to the Northern Ireland Assembly, not only acting as a pressure group for greater investment, but also as a trusted adviser to representatives in Stormont.

Our agenda for 16 June is as follows:

11.30am - 12.30pm: Peter Adams, Ireland Rail Leader at Arup, to discuss the All-Island Rail Strategic Rail Review

Peter will be providing members with an overview and update on the All-Island Strategic Rail Review and the progress made since its publication.

Members will be provided with a deeper understanding of the Review's vision and strategic direction for the rail network across the island of Ireland.

Peter's presentation will touch on:

- The overarching objectives of the Review, including its role in supporting sustainable development, decarbonisation and balanced regional growth.

- The recommended programme of investment, including proposed network enhancements, electrification and improved intercity connectivity

- Key considerations around delivery, phasing and prioritisation of projects.

- Reflections on progress made since publication, including any advances in policy, funding, or early-stage implementation

12.30pm - 02.00pm: Break for lunch

02.00pm - 03:00pm: Site visit to Weavers Cross Transport Hub

- Kindly hosted by Translink, members can expect a brief tour and overall summary of the station footprint, focusing on both bus/coach and rail elements, and an update on community engagement connected with the project.

- Translink will additionally update members via an interactive model of plans around the Weavers Cross development.
