This session will feature Charlie Coyle and Emil Wijeweera of MHCLG, who will join our discussion on EPC reform and building standards.

Focusing on the Government’s ongoing reform of Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs), the session will explore the implications of recent consultation outcomes and the publication of the Government’s partial response confirming significant changes to the existing EPC regime.

With proposals to move beyond a single A–G rating towards multiple performance metrics and an explicit ambition to improve data quality, consistency and policy alignment, EPC reform will have far reaching implications for engineering design, risk allocation and client advice.

The advocacy group focuses on building vibrant, sustainable urban centres that people will want to live, work and play in for the long term. We also address the challenges faced by left-behind communities across the UK, exploring how our sector can unlock their potential and drive regional growth.
