INWED 2021: WOMEN AND THE PANDEMIC

Despite the fact the industry is tirelessly working to encourage more women into engineering and over a million women work in core STEM roles across the UK, it remains a male-dominated sector. Women make up only one in eight engineering roles.

The recent pandemic has amplified gender inequalities in all aspects of life, including in the workplace and our sector.

Join us for a roundtable discussion, organised to coincide with International Women in Engineering Day 2021 (INWED 2021) on 23 June, hosted by ACE's Emerging Professionals London and South East group chair, Farai Mwashita (CBRE).

She is joined by Jacquelyn Fox (CBRE), Stacey Peel (Arup), Marie-Louise Schembri (Hilson Moran), Ayo Sokale (Environment Agency) and Mara-Tafadzwa Makoni (PA Consulting), and together they will discuss how the pandemic has impacted them personally and professionally and the lessons that can be learned as part of broader discussions on the future of the workplace.

The online event will be interactive! Please do not hesitate to share your own experiences or share questions to input into the discussion.
