Unconscious bias affects us all. It is an automatic response of our brain to make quick judgements of people and situations, influenced by our own experience.

Is it something that is compromising diversity and inclusion in the workplace? How can we ensure that our unconscious bias positively influences our decisions and action?

This event will introduce attendees to and make them aware of their own unconscious bias. Speakers will present ideas on how individuals and companies can combat it and encourage diversity and inclusion within the built environment.

Alex Lawrence - Alex Lawrence - Buildings Director and Head of Talent and Inclusion at Ramboll. Alex has over 20 years’ experience in the structural design of building structures, and leads Diversity & Inclusion within Ramboll.

Gary Morris - Director in the Planning team at WYG.  Gary has worked on planning applications and site promotions throughout the South East and across the UK for private sector clients, including national multiple food retailers, restaurant and leisure groups and developers.  He is currently involved in a variety of schemes from retail through to employment parks and residential.

Dan Robertson - Director at Verdica Consulting, the global inclusion company. He is a specialist Diversity and Organisational Development consultant with substantial experience across the public and private sector.
