Steve Lomas

Steve has been involved in financing global infrastructure projects for over 25 years both in the private and public sector.  After spending time at NatWest, RBS and Ambac closing infrastructure deals globally, Steve joined HM Treasury and helped establish the Infrastructure Finance Unit before supporting the setup of the Green Investment Bank. The team established the £40 billion UK Guarantees Scheme (UKGS) which issued over £4billion of guarantees and made £1.4billion of fund investments.

During the last 3 years Steve has played a leading role in the set up and launch of the UK Infrastructure Bank, now the National Wealth Fund (NWF), and was one of the first to join, as Co-Head of the Banking Team during the first year of operations. 

At the NWF Steve oversees transactions in transport, digital, retrofit, and power grid sectors, and is co-leading at the implementation of the guarantee product suite.
