Muse is to deliver a new masterplan for Central Bletchley, a major “station-led” regeneration scheme for the Milton Keynes market town.

The partnership between Muse, Milton Keynes City Council and Milton Keynes Development Partnership (MKDP) has been announced as the town prepares for the arrival of East West Rail.

Central Bletchley is a residential-led, mixed-use development that will bring forward new homes, retail space, community facilities and improved public spaces.

The partnership marks the next step in the ongoing transformation of the area. The government has invested £17m from the Growth Mission Fund, and Milton Keynes City Council a further £5m to deliver a new eastern entrance at Bletchley Station.

The combined £22m investment will create a direct link between the station and Queensway, the town’s high street, acting as a catalyst for wider growth by improving accessibility, encouraging footfall and supporting businesses. Central Bletchley will build on this momentum.

Regionally, the station improvements, together with the wider Central Bletchley proposals, will reinforce the town’s position within the Oxford to Cambridge growth corridor, helping to make Bletchley a more attractive place to live, work and invest.

The new East West Rail link which is planned to connect Oxford to Cambridge via Bletchley will further strengthen the corridor’s connectivity.

Central Bletchley is Muse’s latest station-led regeneration scheme. In the south projects include Stevenage Station Gateway and Bristol Temple Quarter.

Best known as the wartime home of the Enigma codebreakers, Bletchley is just half an hour from London, with a population of 47,000 people.
