SEASON’S GREETINGS FROM EVERYONE AT INFRASTRUCTURE INTELLIGENCE

Following another challenging year for the industry, Infrastructure Intelligence editor Rob O’Connor offers some seasonal greetings to all our readers.

I think it’s fair to say that 2022 has been quite a year!

But, despite the backdrop of economic and political turbulence over the last 12 months, the construction and infrastructure sector remains in pole position to play a key role in the ongoing post-Covid net zero recovery that is vital to the future wellbeing of society and, indeed, the planet itself.

And, as 2022 draws to a close, I’d like to thank all our readers, partners, sponsors and advertisers for their support over the past 12 months and to wish everyone season’s greetings and a happy New Year in 2023.

We are proud to say that Infrastructure Intelligence will remain an unashamedly positive voice for the industry we all love as the nation steps forward on the road to recovery.

And, after the final edition of the year this Thursday, 22 December, our enews will return on Tuesday 10 January 2023.

In the meantime, take care, stay safe and keep your ears very much open at around 11am on Boxing Day.

That’s when 1,000’s of people across the UK will be donning fancy dress and running headlong into the sea to raise much needed funds for a range of good causes close to their hearts.

This includes the north Yorkshire seaside hotspots of Redcar and Saltburn which, as you’ll see from the photo, can occasionally get that little bit chilly at this time of year.

So; keep your ears peeled at 11am on Boxing Day, when toes first start dipping their way into the freezing north sea.

You might not be anywhere near the sea, but you’ll definitely be able to hear the screams!

All the best, from all of us to all of you.

Rob O’Connor is editor at Infrastructure Intelligence.
