WYG has been reappointed to Homes England’s multidisciplinary framework to continue its long-term collaboration to rectify housing shortages around the nation.
With Homes England’s target to deliver 300,000 new homes each year, the organisation is looking to support the private sector where development remains hindered by complex delivery and economic constraints. As part of this, Homes England aims to purchase land, remediate contaminated brownfield sites, as well as fund and deliver primary infrastructure.
The framework will supply a variety of WYG’s technical services to deliver the homes, from planning and development to project and cost management, including geo-environment, environmental, engineering design, and construction support. A professional supply chain of partners will further reinforce this work.
Alongside direct support for Homes England, the services will be freely available for a wide range of public sector bodies to use for procuring development-related services, including local and central government, housing associations, and emergency services.
Richard Brown, framework director at WYG, said: “As a long-time partner of Homes England for over a decade now, we’re excited to continue our relationship with a key client and to help advance their goals of increasing the availability of homes where needed. They are a rapidly evolving organisation, so it is also our ambition to support Homes England as they build capacity within their organisation by providing seconded staff, mentoring, and targeted in-house training on relevant legislation and procedures.”
