The Construction Leadership Council has put out a call to recruit talented early career industry professionals to join the first wave of CLC Ambassadors.
To boost engagement with early career professionals from across the industry and diversify its membership, the CLC is looking to appoint four ambassadors who will help shape and communicate the council’s policy positions on its key priorities.
Key priorities for the CLC are:
- Building Safety
- Net Zero and Biodiversity
- People and Skills
- Next Generation Delivery
Following an open competition, the appointed ambassadors will have opportunities to input into and influence CLC policy development. They will also obtain exposure to, and engagement with, senior industry leaders.
They will enable the voice of the sector’s future talent to be included as the CLC delivers its priorities, communicating the CLC’s work to a new audience through their established social media and professional body networks, championing the sector as a career opportunity.
The CLC published its new strategy and priorities for the next three years in September. As part of the strategy the CLC said it would be recruiting industry sponsors and young ambassadors to sit within its new structure.
CLC co-chair Mark Reynolds said: “The CLC plays a crucial role in making sure that our industry can deliver outstanding results for its customers and society, securing long-term improvements to the way all parts of construction operate.
“We want those that will lead us in the future to play a role in setting the course towards this better future. We hope that the best of the best among our emerging talent will put themselves forward for these four ambassador roles.”
Expressions of interest in the roles will remain open until January 9, 2023, with appointments set to be confirmed by the end of February.
