INFRASTRUCTURE INTELLIGENCE: DOWNLOAD JULY/AUGUST 2022 EDITION

Editor Rob O'Connor shares the highlights from the latest magazine

The Elizabeth line, net zero, social value, a brand new ACE campaign on equality, diversity and inclusion, and a major new initiative tackling domestic abuse across the industry all feature strongly in the latest edition of Infrastructure Intelligence magazine, says Rob O’Connor.

This latest edition of Infrastructure Intelligence, our bi-monthly digital magazine, is packed with a typically strong mix of news, features and opinion focussed on some of the hottest topics facing our industry.

We celebrate the opening of the hugely popular Elizabeth line and the collaboration it took to deliver the project.

We also take our hats off to our friends at ACE on the launch of their brand new equality, diversity and inclusivity campaign.

And we remind ourselves that social value has never been more vital for both the infrastructure and construction sectors and, not to put too fine a point on it, actual real people, communities and society as a whole.

Elsewhere, we couldn’t help but notice that current global events are raising the very real possibility of net zero dropping down the political agenda – not a good trend when the Climate Change Committee is already saying that current programmes will not deliver net zero.

And we’re especially pleased to dedicate our front cover to a new support initiative tackling the hugely important issue of domestic abuse that campaign organisers, and ourselves, hope will be taken on board across the whole industry.

Rob O’Connor is editor at Infrastructure Intelligence.
