Groups / HR Taskforce

People are the key to any successful business and our industry has a range of sector-specific issues to address.

Our Human Resources taskforce (HR taskforce) exists to share best practice in this area and tackle the major HR issues affecting our industry. This includes addressing the sector’s skills gap, attracting and retaining millennial workers and ensuring we don’t lose the knowledge, expertise and experience of a generation of engineers and consultants who will soon retire.

Recent topics covered include the impact of Brexit on skills and recruitment, equality and diversity and safeguarding.  ACE members interested in inputting to the work of the group are invited to contact Kate Buranska.

First established in 2007, the task force also covers issues such as equality and diversity, as well as training and education. Much of the group's output can be found on our Resource Hub.

The group meets quarterly in London. The current chair is Gareth Drought at Tony Gee and Partners.

Members include representatives of the following ACE member companies and affiliates: Acies, Arcadis,  BCal, BWB Consulting, Clancy Consulting, Cundall, Pick Everard, Hoare Lea, IMC, Max Fordham, Mott MacDonald, David Narro, Penningtons Manches, Roughton, Stantec, Troup Bywaters + Anders, Waterman and Robert West.
