BUSINESS MODELS & CONTRACTS
Digital transformation and the modernisation of the construction industry will disrupt the current business models deployed by consultancy firms. There’s is currently no mechanism to reward the use of data or the development of digital tools in our current model. In order for the industry to embrace the opportunities open to us for the benefit of our clients we need to define the business models of the future which provide value, incentivise quality and innovation delivered by sustainable businesses.
There will not be one single business model for the consultancy businesses of the future so we will work define the different types available and where each model can be used to best effect. This will include the model in design for manufacture and the outcome focused model of the Project 13 integrator and extended supply chain, amongst others.
Over the coming months ACE will lead on a number of activities to bring together members, industry stakeholders and clients from the private and public sectors to examine this area and work in collaboration to achieve the common goal.
These activities include public affairs/relations activity, briefings and reports, seminars and conferences, breakfast roundtable debates, and sector interest group meetings, and events at which emerging professionals can discuss and identify what their future in consultancy looks like.
