Young people in the Bradford area are being urged to pursue careers in the construction industry by a company that provides opportunities for budding builders and architects.
CITB-ConstructionSkills's remit is to "deliver a safe, professional and fully qualified UK construction workforce" and to do so it offers apprenticeships to young people via local colleges.
Steve Housden, regional sector strategy manager, told the Bradford Telegraph and Argus: "The construction industry can provide young people with an extremely rewarding and challenging career.
"I'd encourage youngsters to find out more about the industry and what it could offer them."
The UK government is another body that is encouraging young people to undertake apprenticeships in the sector.
Under the terms of its Green Deal scheme, millions of buildings in the UK are set to be made more energy efficient in a bid to meet carbon reduction targets of 80 per cent on 1990 levels by 2050.
