WYG has announced the appointment of Glen Thorn as managing director of their global Buildings & Infrastructure division.
Glen’s initial focus will be to strengthen WYG’s position in the domestic infrastructure market and continue to create mutual success for the Company’s clients and partners. Additionally, he will seek to utilise his substantial international experience to support the global expansion strategy of the Group.
Until April 2011, Glen was an executive director of Halcrow’s Transportation Business Group Worldwide, where he was responsible for the strategic direction and operational leadership of their £200 million turnover business with c.1,700 employees around the world. Glen has 30 years’ experience of delivering major projects in the UK and internationally. Prior to joining Halcrow, Glen worked for Parsons Brinckerhoff and Mouchel.
