Take part in the Red Tape Challenge

The Department for Communities and Local Government (CLG) has launched its "Housing and Construction" theme for the Red Tape Challenge.

The Red Tape Challenge is an open and transparent cross-Whitehall deregulatory programme managed by the Cabinet Office. It offers the chance for industry and sector experts as well as members of the public, to submit ideas for reducing unnecessary regulation, via the Red Tape Challenge website (http://www.redtapechallenge.cabinetoffice.gov.uk/home/index/).

The theme will include housing and construction related regulations and consider whether excessive or complicated legislation is a barrier to reinvigorating housing and construction in this country.

Members can submit ideas directly to CLG by 16 February 2012, but if you would prefer to make suggestions through ACE we can collate these for a joint submission with other groups.

Information on the Red tape Challenge is available on the CIC website by following this link (http://www.cic.org.uk/activities/consult.shtml)
