  Shortlist for NCE/ACE Young Consultant of the Year 2011 announced

Four candidates have been shortlisted for the NCE/ACE Young Consultant of the Year award 2011.  They are: Peter Brown of Atkins; Pete Harrison of Hyder Consulting; Joshua Macabuag of BDP; and David Garton of Max Fordham.

 

The award recognises an outstanding young professional who has demonstrated commitment to their career, notable professional achievements, and views on the roles of engineers and consultants in the future and in society.

 

The four candidates were selected from a high-calibre field by a panel of judges consisting of ACE chairman Graham Nicholson, New Civil Engineer’s Margo Cole, and ACE Progress Network chair Warren Bradley.

 

The winner will be announced at the awards ceremony on 25 March at Claridge’s in London.

Notes to editors:

 

The NCE/ACE Young Consultant of the Year award is open to any academically-qualified consultant or engineer aged 35 and under by 1 March.  Entry is by self-nomination.

 

Candidates are required to submit a report that demonstrates commitment to their careers, a clear vision for their own professional development, understanding of best practice, their contributions to real-world projects, how they have addressed challenges, and their views on the role of engineers and consultants in the future and in society.
