Two residential tower blocks are set to be built in Greenwich following the completion of the Olympic Games next year.
Developer Quintain and partner Lend Lease are set to oversee the development of the two blocks at the site near Canary Wharf.
The first phase of the Peninsula Quays project will result in the creation of 1,300 homes, with Quintain set to be in charge of the delivery of 500 of these residences.
A statement from Quintain released on the London Stock Exchange said: "Detailed planning applications are now being compiled regarding the first two blocks.
"We expect to submit these next summer and start construction after the Olympics, with the first occupants moving into Peninsula Quays in the spring of 2014."
The blocks will contain a total of 3,000 apartments upon completion of the project, with a quarter of these residences earmarked as affordable housing.
Quintain also revealed that its 660-bed student accommodation building located adjacent to Wembley Arena will open in time for the 2012/13 academic year.
