  Paul Hamer elected vice-chairman of ACE

Paul Hamer, chief executive officer, WYG Group, has been elected the Association for Consultancy and Engineering’s vice-chairman at its recent board meeting. He will take office on 1 January 2011.

 

Paul Hamer joined WYG in July 2008 as chief operating officer and was promoted to chief executive officer in March 2009. He was managing director of VT Nuclear Services, part of the VT Group plc, and brings with him over 20 years’ experience in business management, leadership and project delivery. He has also held several senior executive positions in the contracting, nuclear, oil, chemical and petrochemical sectors.

 

Nelson Ogunshakin OBE, ACE chief executive, said: “This is an excellent appointment for ACE and we look forward to working with Paul over the coming year. He has a great deal of experience across the industry and will be an excellent addition to our team.”

Paul joins Chris Cole of WSP Group as the two new vice-chairmen of ACE, while Graham Nicholson of Tony Gee and Partners has been elected as chairman.
