Panellists sought for Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park design

The London Legacy Development Corporation (LLDC) has announced that it is seeking members for an independent panel to advise on the design of the future Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.

Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park is the post-Olympics name given to the Stratford Games site and the Quality Review Panel will be responsible for accessing the planning applications for proposals on how the area will be converted from a centre for sports to a multi-purpose space.

Once the Olympics, which officially opens tomorrow, has finished, the land will become one of Europe's biggest construction sites. The area is set to be transformed with the development of new neighbourhoods and parkland.

"We are seeking people with expertise in all aspects of design … as well as sustainability, regeneration, urban sociology, economic viability and development delivery, to help us build a great new piece of the city," explained Andrew Altman, chief executive of the LLDC.
