NCE has reported ACE's discussions with the Highways Agency to build clarity on procurement issues.
The Highways Agency chief executive Graham Dalton is to work with civil engineering consultants to address concerns about whether a focus on cost results in a loss in design quality.
ACE chief executive Nelson Ogunshakin comments: "We need to sit down with the Agency’s procurement department and work through the process, find out what part is failing and engineer a solution. We need clarity on what is required by the client.”
