Developers can now submit their interest in overseeing the upgrade of Bank underground station.
London Underground (LU) has opened its search for firms to complete the major improvements work which will significantly increase capacity at the station.
The project includes re-tunnelling the Northern line at Bank station, a new entrance on King William Street and the inclusion of new high capacity lifts.
Richard Parry, London Underground's strategy & commercial director, claimed that the new project will help ease the congestion at the Northern line platforms at Bank.
He said: "This major project to re-tunnel the Northern line at Bank, making more spacious platform areas, with a new entrance on King William Street and four high capacity lifts will relieve congestion at the station and provide step-free access for the Northern line platforms."
Firms interested in bidding for the project have until 19th December to submit their proposals. The winning bidder is scheduled to start work in 2015.
