Next Thursday (May 10th), E.On is hosting a Meet the Buyer event in the Hull to allow potential suppliers a chance to register their interest in the Humber Gateway scheme.
The Humber Gateway offshore wind farm located off the Holderness coast of East Yorkshire could have as many as 77 turbines and produce up to 230MW of energy once operational.
E.On is looking for a wide range of local suppliers including building trade and associated services, supplementary site labour, plant and machinery hire, and civil and electrical materials.
The company is also making plans to hold another event early next year to present opportunities working on the offshore construction phase.
Project manager Matthew Swanwick said: "This wind farm will be one of the biggest in the UK and will play a vital role in the fight against climate change."
The Meet the Buyer event takes place at the ARC building, Blanket Row, Hull on Thursday May 10th 2012 from 12:00-18:00.
