Hertfordshire County Council is on the lookout for contractors to cover resurfacing and other highways work as part of a four-year deal worth between £24-90 million.
The work has been divided into three lots covering carriageway and footway surface treatments; carriageway resurfacing; and general civil engineering.
Lot one is valued at between £11.5 million and £43 million; lot two between £10.5 million and £38.5 million; and lot three between £2.25 million and £8 million. Firms can tender for one or more lots and "economy" is the main awarding criteria.
Contractors hoping to secure a contract for this work with the council have until February 20th to submit a pre-qualification questionnaire via the 'Supply Hertfordshire' e-tendering portal.
The Hertfordshire County Council area located to the north of London has a population of one million inhabitants and includes the large settlements of Watford, Hemel Hempstead, Stevenage and St Albans.
Two-thirds of the county is designated green belt, which restricts development.
