Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen University Hospitals Trust (RLBUHT), together with Liverpool City Council, is seeking the opinion of contractors on the delivery of the Liverpool BioInnovation Centre (LBIC).
It has issued a Memorandum of Information to garner views on the procurement and possible structure of the LBIC, for which it secured full planning permission on March 13th this year.
With an overall floor area of 7365 sq m, the LBIC will comprise of five floors and roof level plant rooms with a steel frame structure and a curtain walling facade system to the elevations.
RLBUHT is looking for £24 million of funding to enable the building's construction.
Speaking about the project, RLBUHT said: "The Liverpool component of the north-west life sciences cluster is therefore very significant in its own right – but action is needed to exploit and build on its specific strengths over the forthcoming decade."
Respondents have until April 30th to complete the questionnaire.
