An East Midlands consortium is looking for demolition contractors to tackle a range of low, medium and high rise dwellings as and when required.
Efficiency East Midlands Limited (EEM) is a 17-strong group of affordable housing landlords responsible for the management of over 156,000 properties and the work on offer is worth anywhere between £20,000 and £200 million.
The properties under the management of EEM include care homes, student housing, supported housing, hostels, offices, leisure facilities and day centres.
The contract will involve building demolition and wrecking work and earthmoving, as well as site preparation and clearance.
The tender will be offered to the "most economically advantageous tender" and the deadline for tender submissions is February 20th.
Last month, East Midlands lead manager for the National Housing Federation Chris Hobson said: "There is a desperate need for further investment in affordable and social housing in the East Midlands. Lack of supply is at the root of the problem and more investment is needed as an urgent priority."
